Coming Up: Seattle Century Ride – July 25th, 2009
Please join us for Seattle's premier century ride with gorgeous 50 and 100 mi. route options and unrivaled amenities. Bike Works will be a beneficiary for the ride, and we are looking for volunteers! Please email outreach@bikeworks.org or call 206.725.9408 ext. 1 if you are interested in volunteering (some volunteer positions come with a free entry to the ride!) Or to register for the ride you can stop by the Bike Works Bike Shop or other retail locations, or you can register online at www.seattlecentury.com Volunteer Repair Parties – Starting up again Fall 2009 Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 9:30pm Bike Works has a drop in bike repair party. Come on down and wrench with us. Free drinks, and snacks are provided for all volunteers. The bikes we repair during these sessions are donated to Treehouse, Farestart, local non-profits, and our annual Kid’s Bike Swap. We have wrapped up with our repair parties for the season, but stay posted as we’ll be starting them up again in Fall 2009! Bike Works Auction All of us here at Bike Works – the board, staff, youth, and volunteers alike – are truly humbled by the generosity you showed at our 7th annual dinner and auction on March 29, 2009. With your help we raised over $76,500 and had a record-breaking 275 people in attendance! It was our most successful event to date!
